Ash fertilizer

Thanks to the ash, the soil becomes alkaline and the plants take root better, therefore it is used for feeding eggplants.

Fertilization methods:

  1. Dry powder is poured into a ditch to a depth of 15 cm and sprinkled with earth. The amount depends on the age of the plant.
  2. The solution is poured into the furrows and sprinkled with earth. Place 100-150 g of fertilizer on a bucket of water. One plant uses 0.5 l.

Ash is not combined with nitrogen fertilizers (manure, urea, saltpeter, ammonium sulfate), they also do not use top dressing from painted wood, garbage, newsprint, it contains heavy metals and chemicals.

Eggplant ash is suitable from sunflower or buckwheat. They contain a lot of potassium, which is essential for eggplant. They use oil shale and peat top dressing, but it contains fewer nutrients.

Additives

For the best result, the fertilizer is used in combination with urea.

Stir 1 tbsp. ash and 1 tbsp. l. urea in 10 liters of water and poured under the roots of the eggplant. It is important to avoid contact with the leaves. This top dressing contains all the substances necessary for the growth of a vegetable: phosphorus; nitrogen; potassium; calcium. During fruiting and flowering, 0.5 l / m is used. Introduced into wet soil.

Ash needs to be mixed with other fertilizers

Ash needs to be mixed with other fertilizers

Complex fertilization of eggplant seedlings will help to grow a good harvest. The first time it is brought in when the leaves appear.

Preparation:

  • 1 tbsp. ash;
  • 1 tbsp. l. superphosphate;
  • 0.5 g of ammonium nitrate.

The ingredients are diluted in 1 liter of settled water and poured under the stems of the eggplant plants. After 1.5-2 weeks, the seedlings are fed again with the same composition, but fertilizers are taken 2 times more.

Before planting the seedlings, they are fed again, but they take 8 g of potassium per 1 liter of solution. Wood ash goes well with nettle infusion. Such feeding accelerates the growth of seedlings. Ingredients are taken at the rate of 1:10, watering is carried out in the morning, the infusion should be at room temperature.

Wood ash infusion

The wood ash infusion is quickly absorbed and strengthens the roots. But its preparation takes a long time.

For the solution, take 150-200 g of ash per 10 liters of water. Everything is thoroughly mixed and insisted for 7 days. Top dressing is applied during watering. It is also used for foliar feeding, using a sprayer.

Uterine infusion

This recipe is more complicated, but effective. Cooking rules:

  1. Mix 1 kg of ash in 10 liters of water. Boil the solution for 20 minutes.
  2. Then dilute 1 liter of fertilizer in 10 liters of water. This tool is used to wet eggplant.

The infusion is stored for a long time. It retains its properties well. For best results, add boric acid or potassium permanganate.

Fertilizing the soil before planting

In order for the plants to take root better after planting, the ash for eggplant seedlings is applied directly to the soil.Fertilizer is sprayed over the soil and then dug over or left on the surface as mulch. Under the influence of moisture, it will gradually penetrate into the lower soil layer.

It is important to keep the proportions correctly. If the soil is sandy loam, then 100-200 g of ash are used per 1 m2, for loamy - the amount is increased by 3-4 times. But if you add too much product, the alkaline properties of the soil change and this has a bad effect on the eggplant seedlings.

Fertilizer from leaves

For cooking, the leaves of fruit trees are used. It is better to burn the leaves in a metal barrel or box. The basic rule is to prevent water from entering the container. This will lead to alkali formation. Store in a closed plastic bag or drawer.

Conclusion

Ash has a good effect on the growth of seedlings, strengthens the plant and protects it from diseases.

The advantage of such feeding is that it can be prepared independently from organic matter, and the application process itself does not cause difficulties.
