The Tersk horse breed was bred in the 20s, the birthplace of this breed is the North Caucasus. These horses were taken to replace the Streletsky horses, since the appearance of the latter was gradually becoming obsolete. Exterior

The Tersk horse breed has an average height ranging from 158 to 162 cm. But as the breed multiplies, the growth increases. The exterior is as follows:

  • the neck is distinguished by the length and strength of the bone;
  • the back is strong;
  • massive croup;
  • the legs are hardy and strong;
  • the graceful shape of the head, the profile is notable for its concavity (such a profile is also called the "pike head", with this the mare resembles its counterparts from Arabia);
  • resembles the move of the Arabian horse.

The exterior is interesting in that, with external grace, the figure is not inferior in endurance and strength to the horses that live in the North. She has amazing physical characteristics.

Character

The Tersk horse has a lot of positive qualities in terms of character. She is friendly, peaceful, well trained.

These horses can be safely kept in the conditions of the herd: they get along well with each other, if necessary, they can share one stall for two.

Areas of use

Representatives of the Terek breed are simply born artists. That is why they can often be found in the circus. For the horse itself, it is also a real pleasure if an exhibition or performance takes place with its participation.

Equestrian sport is also not complete without this breed. This is because the animal possesses:

  • excellent teaching ability;
  • excellent coordination in movements;
  • excellent speed development data;
  • skill;
  • sociability (easily makes contact with people);
  • good disposition.

The Streletsky horse, which was to be replaced by the Terek breed, actively participated in all equestrian disciplines. Teretz is in no way inferior to him in this. It is enough to take in hand the entire list of disciplines for horses, where there is triathlon, long distance running, driving, this breed is listed everywhere.

This is a powerful, but at the same time graceful, graceful animal, remembered with light movements, quick-witted and kind, and therefore amenable to training with pleasure. With such qualities, it should not be surprising that these horses can often be seen in the circus.

Because of their good disposition and good contact with people, these animals are often chosen for training in children's and youth equestrian sports. Terez also often participates in rehabilitation programs for children and adults with various diseases of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.

Based on all of the above, we can safely conclude that these horses are universal in their characteristics. There is no equestrian sport where Tertz cannot be met.

Famous Tersk horses

Previously, there was a competition called the "Russian troika", for which Tersk horses were always used. This is because these individuals listen well and are capable of learning.

In the history of this breed of horses there was a Tersk horse named Buyan, he took part in entertainment events for 28 years.

In the army, the described individuals are also respected and honored. Its representatives are willingly taken in harnesses and for horseback riding. There was a stallion, whose name was Kumir, he honorably went to the Victory Parade in the summer of 1945.
