Everyone has heard a huge amount of information about such species as black, bay, red, gray horse. But few people know about such a brown horse suit. This type of color cannot be called common, since many do not know anything at all about it. But in fact, the brown horse is the wildest species of animal, because the color itself is close to the aboriginal type.

The origin of the suit

The natural shade of the brown suit is genetically determined. A few centuries ago, it was dominant for the predecessors of today's horses, which previously inhabited territories where no human foot has set foot. Nowadays, it is unrealistic to meet wild representatives of horses in nature, but there are their descendants, similar to them in appearance. These animals have a special gene that is responsible for the red and fairly light color of six animals.

In this case, it is worth paying attention to some features of the gene's action. It can only affect certain areas of the coat. Due to this, both light and dark places can be observed on the surface of the coat in a horse of a kauroy suit. If we consider the reasons due to which such a color of the coat color arose, then this is often due to the fact that in the old days the horse demanded special camouflage in the wild. Against the general background, the brown suit is invisible, which means that it is not easy to detect it.

What individual can douse such a rare suit? We are talking about aboriginal types of horses:

  • Altai horse;
  • Przewalski's horse;
  • Yakut and Kazakh horses.

Description of a similar shade

If we consider the features of a brown horse suit, then you should pay attention to the fact that we are talking about the presence of a light red color of the body, which has a rather warm sand color.

The kauray suit is characterized by the following properties:

  1. The tail and mane should be much darker than the body. It can be a shade with red impurities.
  2. Each horse has a special "wild mark" that appears as a brown stripe that runs along the entire spine. Popularly, this mark is called "belt", there may be stripes of a transverse type on the withers, and a certain zebra pattern on the legs.
  3. Areas such as the muzzle, abdomen and groin areas can be light enough. They say that brown horses have meanness.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that the very saturation of the shade depends on which breed a particular horse or mare belongs to. For example, a Przewalski horse can be quite dark in color, while another breed will have completely different colors.

Shades

Any connoisseur of horses who is a professional in this field can say with confidence that the brown color of a horse is remembered precisely because it is characterized by a fairly large number of different shades.At the same time, if we consider the color variations that can be in the kaura suit, it should be noted that they can differentiate from very light to very dark.

Several shades of brown suit are characteristic.

  1. The suit is dark brown. The coat in this situation on the surface of the whole body will have a dark tone. On the lower legs and directly on the head, it will be an order of magnitude darker. Along the spine is a fairly brown "belt". The presence of a brown color is inherent in zebra and spots.
  2. The suit is classic. This species is characterized by the presence of a light red body. At the same time, the lower part of the legs and the head also have glimpses of a reddish hue. The strap located on the spine is made in exactly the same color as in the previous version, but with a slight admixture of a brown shade. The tail and mane, on the contrary, are rather dark in color.
  3. The color is light brown. If we consider the brown color of horses of this type, then the body is inherent in a very light and bright color. Also, in the head area and on the lower legs, you can find hairs that are quite dark. The mane and tail are also characterized by the presence of sufficiently darkened areas. Zebra and the belt in the spine has a reddish or even brown color.

It is very difficult to draw a clear line between these shades. It is quite difficult to distinguish the brown suit from other species due to the variety of colors, as you can see if you look at a huge number of photos.

Features of the spread of the suit

According to preliminary data, we can say with full confidence that the brown suit is one of the rare. This is due to the presence of a special gene in the equine organism. The brown horse is a real rarity, therefore, it can be found most often in those places where arbitrary crossing of ordinary mares and stallions with wild representatives of horses living in nature took place. In addition to all of the above breeds, which have the peculiarities of this color, it is also worth highlighting such as:

  • Creole;
  • Soviet heavy truck;
  • Icelandic pony;
  • Appaloosa;
  • Connemara.

In addition, sometimes the color slips in such horse breeds as the mustang, but this is most likely due to the fact that it is the mustang that is a real wild horse.

Due to the fact that it is very difficult to find such a suit, it is in demand in the modern world. In this situation, the main question is how to keep this suit at the stage of disappearance. This problem is currently being actively discussed.

Distinctive features and main similarities

If we consider such an animal as a horse, it is worth paying attention to the fact that among similar features one can distinguish a fairly light tone of the entire body compared to the tail, mane and lower legs. This horse can get sufficiently light areas of wool in the area of the muzzle, abdomen, groin and even the eyelids.

If we consider the differences, then they are not particularly clearly visible. The main and, perhaps, the basic principle for recognition will be the saturation of the hue itself. A rather bright and yellow coat suggests that this is a brown horse. Also, considering the gray-haired type, it is worth paying attention to the fact that with this option there will be rather dark blotches on the wool, although very faded colors will be inherent in the shade itself.

If we consider which horse is the closest to a similar species, then Przewalski's horse and, of course, some heavy trucks can be attributed here. By inheritance, the acquisition of such a color is impossible, since the animal for this must be at least slightly close to the aboriginal species. In the event that you start crossing domestic and wild horses, then getting a similar suit is possible, but with a small probability.Considering a photo of a cowro horse, it is worth saying that this is a representative of a variety that requires close attention.
