Instructions for the drug

Lapis lazuli is a universal remedy, belongs to the group of Herbicides (chemistry).

  • It is used in industrial and private cultivation of potatoes and tomatoes.
  • Not suitable for garden beds where you plan to plant cucumbers, carrots, beets and other vegetables.

Chemical composition

The main active ingredient is metribuzin (70%).

It has a selective character, selectively affecting certain weed species and without affecting cultivated plants from the Solanaceae family, which have a similar cellular structure of vegetative parts - stems and roots.

Poorly soluble in liquid, retains in soil layers for up to 2 months. In some cases it precipitates and remains in the ground for up to a year.

Release form

Available in powder form. It is packed in bags for single use in a private household of 10-20 g, for industrial purposes - in boxes and bags of 0.5-10 kg.

Cost and analogues

The price depends on the volume of the package. Average. is 65-100 rubles.

The inexpensive drug has analogues that can be bought on the agricultural market:

  • domestic - Excellent from the manufacturer "Green Pharmacy", Miura, Lazurit-SP from the firm August;
  • foreign Zenkor.

Impact principle

Metribuzin acts as an inhibitor of photosynthesis. In the absence of this process, weed vegetation does not develop, stops growing and dies, without interfering with the normal development of cultivated plants.

Attention! Lapis lazuli is not a fertilizer and does not increase yields.

The drug has a destructive effect and destroys all vegetative parts of weeds - the root system, seeds, stems and foliage, getting into plant cells through their surface.

The dried grass is harvested by raking and burned.

The agent simultaneously has a detrimental effect on the pathogen of phytophthora.

It acts as an effective alternative to manual weeding, in which the root system of immature shoots is often damaged, the soil layers are drained.

Advantages and disadvantages

prosMinuses
  1. Selective effect, detrimental effect only on weeds, without affecting the health of cultivated plants.
  2. Active substances do not accumulate in vegetables;
  3. Does not have negative consequences for the condition of the soil layers;
  4. Helps to get rid of more than 50 varieties of weeds from the class of cereal and dicotyledonous annuals, including ragweed, shepherd's purse, wild oats, bristle grass, loach, wild onion, sow thistle, etc .;
  5. Shows high efficiency, intensively influencing not only the above-ground vegetative parts, but also the root system of weeds, leading to complete wilting;
  6. The powder is easy to dilute and apply;
  7. Low price;
  8. Damaged weed grass, after rotting, acts as an organic fertilizer.
1. Failure to comply with the norms stipulated by the instruction leads to a reduction in the storage period of vegetables and their rapid deterioration.

  • If more, the potatoes become blue-black during the cooking process. In addition, aerial vegetative parts can be burned, leaves and stems may turn yellow.
  • If less, it is ineffective and causes resistance in weeds.

2. Violation of the regularity of application leads to negative consequences - the accumulation of metribuzin in vegetables, which is toxic to humans.

Preparation of the solution

To combat weeds, the herbicide is used in the form of an aqueous solution. Treatments are carried out by watering or spraying.

  • For a single (primary) treatment: 1 package (20 g) is dissolved in 1 liter of water, then the volume is brought to 6 liters.
  • The second time the powder is dissolved in 20 liters of water. Allowed to make the concentration more, up to 0.5%.

Rules and times

Suitable for use during the entire vegetative period.

The optimal time for treatment with Lapis lazuli is the phase of development of vegetable crops (from the moment of planting to the appearance of the first shoots) up to 20-30 days of age of the shoots.

Weed control

Weed control

This is explained by the fact that at the early stage of growth, the susceptibility to the active substance is the smallest.

Basic Rules:

  • moisten the soil before use, spud the bushes;
  • processing is carried out on a calm day;
  • the optimum ambient temperature is not lower than 15 ° C, in colder weather the active component loses its effective properties;
  • if there is a heavy rain immediately after the procedure, repeat it;
  • the minimum dosage of the drug is used on light soils, the maximum - on heavy ones;
  • the beds are sprayed with a liquid working solution immediately after its preparation, because in the course of long-term storage, it loses its effective properties;
  • splashing is required directly on the bush, without getting on other crops;
  • before using the herbicidal agent, prophylactic procedures are initially carried out against pests, for example, by the Commander.

When not to apply

  • When the soil contains less than 1% humus;
  • On plantings that have recovered from plant diseases or suffered from frost, with mechanical damage, through which the active ingredient can penetrate the cell layers;
  • When cultivated plants were planted early in the garden;
  • On dry soils.

With small amounts of weeds, it is recommended to limit the use of the herbicidal agent, replacing it with manual weeding and subsequent mulching.

Precautions
