Proper nutrition is the key to success

Diet and soft meat, absolute simplicity in food and the fastest possible weight gain are the main positive aspects of turkey poults. Thanks to these characteristics, turkeys have become a very popular breeding species. Even with such positive data and the complete omnivorousness of the animal, it is still impossible to feed them with anything. We must not forget about vitamins, natural supplements - yeast, shells and chalk. Useful complementary feed for turkeys:

  • in any case, there should be different legumes and grain feeds, they will make up more than 70% of the total poultry diet: in addition, they will also serve as the main sources of protein and fat, a mash of water;
  • then the body of birds needs to be saturated with amino acids, and they are in the meal and cake: especially soybean meal, in its structure it resembles any feed of animal origin;
  • flour of any type: fish, meat, blood: flour contains a lot of positive substances, protein, calcium, phosphorus, amino acids - everything that is so necessary for growth;
  • any fresh feed - cut grass, and, of course, a mash of water;
  • you cannot do without hay - this is a feed that contains a lot of fiber, which has a positive effect on the work of the food system;
  • fats: they can be obtained from nuts, bacon and acorns, they will make the meat softer and more tender;
  • in order to get a large volume, you need to give special additives, but not everyone wants to give their turkeys chemicals, since this is very dangerous and bad for the meat, which is why all farmers give yeast.

Positive aspects of yeast

When a person starts grow turkeys or any other poultry, he wants to get the maximum profit in the form of delicious meat that will be soft and large in weight. But here, like any product, yeast has its own certain amount, or rather a dose. You can't just take and pour out the yeast, because an overabundance of positive substances that are in the product can lead to the fact that the turkeys will drastically lose their weight, and the meat will become tough and tasteless.

Yeast is a kind of very small, even microscopic, unicellular fungi. Today they can be found in completely different types and for different uses:

  • baking yeast;
  • pubs to ferment beer;
  • for feeding;
  • wine;
  • alcohol for any kind of alcohol.

In order to improve the growth of birds and rapid weight gain, feed yeast is used. Such yeast is dry and fine biomass, which in its structure consists of different microcells. Fodder yeast is created and grown in special laboratories and therefore is considered pure (there are no dangerous chemical additives that can lead to death). They can be safely given to turkey poults and not worry that they can be poisoned. Mushroom-like food will be considered natural supplements that will not only help the bird gain weight quickly, but can also improve the digestive system, blood circulation and strengthen the immune system.

What can you expect from yeast when given every day?

Yeast will increase egg production

Yeast will increase egg production

As many farmers and veterinarians say, the effect of taking yeast can already be noticed after a couple of days. The turkey becomes more active, moves quickly, in a couple of days it can gain from 500 grams to one kilogram. The very first changes that immediately catch the eye - it increases egg production... Turkeys on their own do not produce eggs often compared to chicken, but you can still notice that the turkey has begun to lay more often. Of course, the most important thing is that the turkey quickly began to gain body weight. A record was registered (unofficially) when a turkey with yeast was able to gain over 1.5 kilograms in one week. But, truth be told, she did not live long. The body could not cope with such a sharp influx of mass and her heart stopped. This is an example of just the factor when the farmer did not calculate the dose and every day "generously" poured the bird.

The third "symptom" that the yeast has begun to work is that the turkey has begun to eat twice as much. This all happens due to the fact that the body begins to grow rapidly and it needs constant strength to keep up with the rapid development of all systems and the body itself. The last symptom can be replaced over time, because it strengthens the immune system. This can be replaced when the cold seasons come and the birds are practically not sick. It's just that a turkey has an average immune system, so it often gets sick in cold weather. Mushrooms of natural origin influence the development of the body with the help of positive substances that they contain. They affect both chicks and adult turkey poults.

In addition, many experts note that in turkeys only 5% of the eggs hatch a chick. And when they started giving them yeast, the percentage increased to 78 and 70 percent of them survived. Don't forget about the wheat mash with water. Yeast contains vitamins of group B, A, D, E. Such vitamins affect the color, shine and density of the plumage of the animal. They become very smooth, shiny and vibrant. Because of this, the turkey feels like a surge of some kind of energy, becomes very active, curious - it tries to crawl everywhere. In addition, you can purchase pharmacy feeds, which will be additional feed additives, and together with yeast will have a positive effect on the health and growth of the turkey. A mash of water and wheat bran is perfect.

Positive and negative aspects of feed additives

In the very early stages, when farmers are just starting to feed such supplementary food as fodder tremors, they watch their flock very carefully. Most of the experts noted that the laying of eggs in birds increased by forty to fifty percent. Of course, this can be affected and which one turkey breed you grow.

Experts and veterinarians strongly recommend giving birds such feed in the form of a preparation that can strengthen their health and immune system. In addition, they carry both the necessary and such useful fat acids:

  • linolenic;
  • oleic;
  • arachidonic.

Dosage and feeding rules

In order to correctly calculate the dose, you must understand the average weight of each animal.On average, only five percent of the total diet should be shivering. If we talk about numbers, then about thirty grams per kilogram. Soak the yeast before giving it. Usually, if you give them in the morning, then cover them with warm water, stir and leave overnight, and give them in the morning. Thus, they are much better absorbed.

If you decide to immediately prepare a large amount of the yeast mixture, then it must be stirred every eight to ten hours. And of course, the bird's water supplement must be stirred every eight hours. This feeding method is very cheap and economical, so it is great for everyone, especially if the farmer has a small farm. Plus, the birds are getting natural supplements, not chemicals.

What could be the catch

In turkeys, constant indigestion can be observed, and very often a period of inflammation of the cloaca begins due to the fact that fluid is retained, because of this stagnation is created. The big problem is that birds have cannibalism in the flock... So far, doctors have not found a decent explanation for this, but they believe that this is due to the fact that birds become addicted to yeast and try to find it in the body of their companion in the territory.

If you decide to transfer your pet to such a diet, the main thing is to adhere to all dosage rules so that dependence on a natural supplement does not appear, the mash should be given 2 times a day.
