The variety got its name for its pepper-like structure and appearance similar to pepper.

- resistance to the main types of diseases and pests.
Among the main disadvantages, summer residents note the high price of seeds, which cannot be collected on their own and have to be bought for every next gardening season.
Yield indicators
Most of the varieties are mid-season, which ripen on average 110-115 days after the first shoots that appear on the garden bed. The first fruits of the Pepper Tomato bear no earlier than the middle of summer. Summer residents usually harvest the last harvest by autumn. It is possible to increase the fruiting period when growing varieties in greenhouse conditions.

Orange
The orange variety produces larger vegetables than the yellow variety. Among the orange representatives, the striped look is popular.
Traditional red
The classic red Pepper tomato, bred by Aelita, is in many ways similar in characteristics to orange, in some cases exceeding the latter in yield. Among the red hybrids are:

Cuban
The Cuban Black Tomato stands out for its late ripening and tall stature, reaching a height of 3 m when grown in a greenhouse. When grown to form a 2-stem bush, Cuban Black can show a yield of 10-12 kg. The average weight of vegetables is from 200 to 350 g.
Siberian
An unusual-shaped tomato hybrid called the Siberian Cossack bears fruit with rather large fruits - 200-300 g each. A tall bush can grow up to 1.8 m. It is possible to increase the yield of the Siberian species by forming bushes of 2-3 stems with a load per 1 sq. m no more than 3 units.
Pink
The pink hybrid is good for growing in the southern regions outdoors or in a greenhouse. Fruits of a pink tomato are distinguished by an elongated narrowed end, weighing 80-120 g each with high taste characteristics. Among the most popular is Pink Sturdy.
Crimson
The raspberry determinant appeared in the gardens of Novosibirsk breeders and became known thanks to the declared yield of 12-15 kg per 1 sq. m of beds. In terms of sugar content, the raspberry type of tomato is able to compete with the famous Bull's Heart.
The subtleties of growing
Proper care will have a positive effect on plant productivity.
Hybrid tomato varieties are grown in the greenhouse not by seeds, but by seedling. The advantage of this variety of vegetable culture is that the purchased seeds are already prepared for planting and do not require additional processing, showing good germination.
Sowing
Among the main conditions for sowing hybrid tomato seeds, the observance of the required temperature regime at a level of at least 25 ° C is distinguished. The depth to which it is recommended to sow seed in the greenhouse is no more than 1 cm.
Picking
The picking procedure for Pepper varieties is not much different from that used for traditional tomatoes. It is carried out when 2 leaves appear on the shoots. Pepper tomatoes are transplanted into open ground in May, observing the planting frequency of no more than 4 seedlings per 1 sq. m of sown area.
Further care
Caring for varieties of Pepper tomatoes involves proper watering, fertilization and pinching of tomato bushes, which will certainly affect the harvest of vegetables.
Watering
Watering tomatoes is required according to the rules, depending on the variety:
- for low-growing varieties that cover standard species, watering is carried out immediately after transplanting seedlings into open ground with a repeat after 20 days, then - after flowering and then - at the end of June,
- for tall species, more frequent watering is required: in dry periods - at least 3 times a week, in some cases gardeners dig a trench near the garden bed, where water is periodically poured.
Fertilizer
Fertilizing Pepper Tomatoes is recommended with manure or chicken droppings. Top dressing is done after 1 month after planting seedlings in open ground, when the plant puts out lateral roots.
If the foliage of tomatoes looks dry, nitrogen-containing fertilizer complexes are added. If Pepper Tomatoes are gaining too much mass, they will lack phosphate baits.
Secondary groundbait Pepper tomato is allowed during its flowering. The best fertilizer at this time will be wood ash.
Stepping
