Yeast benefits

Yeast fertilizers are useful for vegetable crops due to their composition:

  • 65% protein elements,
  • 10% amino acids,
  • 25% of a variety of minerals including manganese and potassium, iron, copper and nitrogen.

The fungus that is part of the yeast secretes substances that are very useful for pepper, it is capable of:

  • to intensify the growth of vegetable crops,
  • give an impetus to the development of the root system of peppers and accelerates the growth of their vegetative part,
  • increase the percentage of survival of young seedlings, reducing to a minimum the stress arising in plants during transplantation,
  • suspend the process of excessive stretching of the stems of peppers at the stage of growing seedlings,
  • reduce the ripening period of fruits and improve their quality characteristics,
  • saturate the soil with beneficial bacteria, thereby increasing soil fertility.

Terms of introduction

It is recommended to feed peppers with fertilizers with yeast three times in one gardening season.

Feeding methods:

  • by applying fertilizer directly to the heated soil,
  • by the method of irrigation with yeast formulations.

At the transplant stage

The initial feeding of young seedlings is carried out when they are transplanted into soil at a place of permanent cultivation. At this stage, it is necessary to water the peppers in order to increase their resistance to stress and shorten the period of adaptation of the sprouts to new conditions. The solution or dry yeast is introduced directly into the holes prepared for planting seedlings, previously watered with water.

At the flowering stage

When the first inflorescences appear on the pepper bushes, a second yeast bait is carried out: 2 liters of solution per 1 bush.

At the stage of fruit formation

During the ripening period of the pepper fruits, it is recommended to feed the plants a third time. The watering rate in this case depends on the number of fruits on each bush and is 1-2 liters.

Basic Rules

Follow the recommendations

Follow the recommendations

It is necessary to prepare and water the vegetable culture with yeast compositions, taking into account some recommendations and restrictions.

Preparation

For fertilization, you can use raw or dry fast-acting yeast. The product must be fresh.

When cooking, the temperature of the liquid should be at least 30 'and no more than 40'. In cold conditions, fermentation is suspended, which is necessary for the development of the yeast fungus, and in hot water the main useful component dies.

The right time

In open areas, it is introduced in the morning and in warm weather, when the soil is no longer cold, but not overheated in direct sunlight.

In the greenhouse, yeast fertilizer for pepper is recommended to be carried out on cloudy days, because the yeast fungus dies in the overheated ground in the greenhouse.

Prohibitions

If you decide to feed seedlings or adult peppers with yeast, do not use chemical and organic fertilizers at the same time. Also, manure and chicken droppings are not added along with yeast. All additional components lead to a slowdown in the development of the yeast fungus, and in some cases cause its death.

Recipes

You can make yeast groundbait for peppers in one of the popular ways.

1st way

You will need 1kg of raw yeast, 5-7L of water. The mixture diluted with water is left for 1 hour in a warm place. Before use, the yeast composition is additionally diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10. Recommended for use at the stage of growing seedlings to accelerate growth, as well as for pepper bushes at the stage of their flowering.

2nd way

At the stage of fruit formation, a working liquid is made from the yeast component with sugar. For this purpose, you will need a ten-liter volume of water and 100 grams of raw yeast or 20 grams of dry product. Add 0.5 kg of granulated sugar to the water, stir it until completely dissolved and add yeast. The mixture is allowed to stand in a warm place for 3 days.

In the process of fermentation, the volume of the working fluid will increase, therefore, use a container whose volume exceeds the diluted mixture by 2 times.

The solution, ready for use, will turn out cloudy, and the foam that appears at the first stages of the fermentation process will settle. When adding yeast nutrition for a vegetable culture, the finished mixture is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10.

3rd way

The third method is to prepare a yeast mixture to increase the fertility of the soil. Do it in stages.

  1. Initially, 100 g of yeast mixture and 100 g of granulated sugar are diluted in a ten-liter volume of water. The mixture is kept for 1 day.
  2. At the same time, wood ash is infused (1 liter of ash powder per ten-liter volume of water).
  3. For the purpose of bait, combine 1 liter of ash infusion and 1 liter of yeast mixture, add water to 10 liters.
