Pepper pick lunar calendar 2019
To obtain healthy and strong seedlings, they must be transplanted from a common container into separate pots. Many gardeners perform this procedure based on the phases of the moon. When, according to the lunar calendar, the pepper picking should be carried out in 2019 and how to carry it out correctly?
When to dive pepper
Pepper seeds are usually planted in February. A pick should be carried out when the first 2-3 true leaves appear on the seedlings, this mainly occurs in March - April.
The following phases are considered the most favorable moments:
- the waning moon - the actions carried out will not cause any harm to the plant during this period.
- the growing moon is a time of active growth, ideal for the procedure. Even if, for some reason, damage to the roots occurs, they will quickly recover, and the sprout will not die.
In March 2019, the most successful days for picking pepper seedlings in separate containers will be: 7.8, 15-18, 22 and 23. These days the moon is in the waning phase.
According to the lunar calendar, suitable dates for April are:
- from 7th to 9th;
- from 12 to 13 (especially favorable time for working with the root system);
- April 17-18 - the moon is in the sign of Taurus, which is good for seedlings, besides, the days of the week - Wednesday and Thursday - are also good for picking;
- from April 21 to 22 - Cancer zodiac sign, under whose patronage the moon is at this time, has a good effect on plants during feeding procedures, transplantation, etc.
Recommendation: do not dive peppers on a full moon or on a new moon - it is believed that these periods will negatively affect plant growth.
Preparing for the procedure
Before the picking procedure, it is necessary to properly prepare the soil.
For this:
- take 2 parts of peat, 1 part of turf and 1 part of sand;
- mix the indicated components;
- for more looseness of the soil, add 1 part of rotted manure;
- fold the resulting soil into pots at least 10 cm high, leaving about 2 cm empty to the top;
- make small holes in the ground;
- pour the settled water into them.
Attention! When transplanting seedlings from one container to different pots, make sure that they have ventilation holes at the bottom.
Description of technology
In order for the pick to be successful, pour the soil in a common container with water about 20 minutes before starting to dig up the peppers. After the specified time has elapsed, carefully remove the seedlings one at a time, carefully separating from each other and being careful not to pull the roots, using a spatula or tablespoon.
Place the seedlings in the prepared holes, making sure to place the roots vertically without kinking. Violation of this condition can lead to inhibition of growth or even death of the plant.
Do not deeply deepen the roots in order to avoid the process of decay - it is enough to plant them at the same depth to which they grew before the dive. Sprinkle the holes with earth, lightly tamp around the stem.
For the quickest adaptation of the peppers, place them in their original place, shading them for a couple of days. The optimum temperature is between 20 and 22 ° C.
Do not worry if at first there is a slowdown in the growth of seedlings or wilting of leaves: first, the root system will adapt to the new conditions, then, if all recommendations are correctly followed during the picking process, the stage of general growth will begin.
Tip: if you cannot buy pots, use Tetra Pak boxes (1 l) for dairy products or juices. Remember to punch holes in them.
How to care for seedlings after a pick
After the specified darkening period has passed, in order for the seedlings to grow strong and healthy, the following conditions must be met:
- provide light access for 8 hours a day (if there is a lack of solar account, you can turn on the backlight);
- water the plants as the soil dries out, avoiding excessive moisture;
- pepper is afraid of hypothermia, as it is a heat-loving vegetable, therefore, it is necessary to keep the seedlings in a room with a temperature regime of 20 to 24 ° C during the day, and from 16 to 18 ° C at night.
Feed the peppers 10 days after picking. For this purpose, dilute in 5 liters of water:
- ammonium nitrate in the amount of 5 g;
- superphosphate - 20 g;
- potassium sulfate - 15 g.
For 1 seedling, use 60-100 ml of the resulting solution. The plants that are fed must first be watered abundantly. It is advisable to repeat top dressing after 14 days.
Peppers, which will be picked during the indicated periods of 2019, will grow healthier, stronger, and subsequently yield a good harvest.
