Characteristics of the variety

Pepper Lyubov is a mid-early variety, its technical maturation occurs 55-60 days after planting. Biologically, the fetus ripens in 75-80 days.

Love is an unpretentious variety for growing conditions. It easily adapts to outdoor and greenhouse conditions.

The variety is resistant to the tobacco mosaic virus, tolerates stressful situations well (too low and high temperatures, significant fluctuations in soil moisture).

Features of the variety

According to the description, the variety has a number of features:

  • the prevalence of seeds on sale;
  • no need to prepare seeds before planting;
  • uncomplicated planting process, fast seedling shoots;
  • short adaptation period after planting in the ground;
  • the need for a small amount of water;
  • unpretentious fertilization.

Description of the bush

The bush is medium-sized, densely leafy, the stem is strong, rich green. The leaves are large, the fruits themselves may not be visible under them.

Description of the fetus

The fruits of the Love pepper are of the kapia type. They are elongated in shape, their average length is 10 cm. The walls are fleshy, up to 8 mm thick.

The color ranges from dark green (technical maturity) to bright red (biological maturity).

The weight of one fruit can reach 150 g, under good conditions - up to 200 g. The taste of the vegetable is delicate, the pulp is fragrant. The variety is stored for a long time. The fruits are picked unripe, put in a cool place, where they turn red, and stored until cold weather (November-December). This quality makes Lyubov suitable for industrial cultivation, transportation and sale. The fruits can be used raw and canned.

Landing

The grown and strengthened seedlings are planted in open ground or in a greenhouse. Planting and caring for seedlings includes 3 stages:

Sowing

Light soil is prepared for sowing. A mixture of garden soil (25%), humus (35%) and sand (40%) works best. The seeds are not prepared in any way. They are simply sown in well-moistened soil.

It is important to maintain a temperature favorable for seed germination - 25-27 ° C. The plantings are covered with foil or raised in the room higher (warm air circulates above).

Seedling care

Hardening is carried out 10 days after planting the seeds. Seedlings are kept at a temperature of 18-20 ° C during the day, and at night they are taken out into a room colder than 10 ° C: this way the sprouts will get stronger and easier to take in the ground. The period starts at one hour and increases every day.

Plants need to be properly cared for

Plants need to be properly cared for

Plantings are watered with water only at room temperature, provide lighting for 10-14 hours a day. The light must come from the ceiling so that the shoots stretch up and have the correct shape

During this period, young seedlings are fertilized. A solution of urea and superphosphate is suitable for this. 6 g of urea and 30 g of superphosphate are dissolved in 10 l of water.

Planting in open ground or greenhouse

A few days before disembarkation, the seedlings are fed. 50 g of superphosphate and 25 g of potassium salt are dissolved in 10 l of water.

The vegetable is planted in late May or early July, when the weather is already warm. Prepare grooves, water them well.

Seedlings are planted a little deeper so that additional roots are formed. Observe the distance between plants of 40 cm, between the beds - 70 cm. It is important to monitor the crop rotation.

Care

You cannot plant the variety on an area where tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and eggplants used to grow. They have similar diseases, the causative agents of which are able to withstand extreme temperatures and hibernate in the ground.

Watering

After planting, the pepper is watered abundantly, repeating the procedure for several days in a row. Then watering is done 2-3 times a week: the soil should not be allowed to dry out.

Loosening

The plantings are poured and loosened as weeds appear, but at least once every 10-14 days. This is done with a non-sharpened hoe, without approaching the stem. The roots are close to the surface and can be easily damaged.

Top dressing

It is better to fertilize the plant at the stage of the appearance of the ovary. This gives the plant and fruit strength. Plants are fed with a solution of chicken manure or mullein. Dissolve 1 liter of manure in 15 liters of water. The solution is insisted for a couple of days, then filtered. If a mullein is used, 1 liter of fertilizer is dissolved in 10 liters of water. It is also defended and filtered. After fertilization, watered abundantly.

If the bush does not bloom well and a little ovary is formed, it is fed with potash or nitrogen fertilizer.

Conclusion

Pepper variety Lyubov quickly gained popularity among gardeners for its technical and taste characteristics. Unpretentious care makes this variety financially profitable.
