Tomatoes Perfectpil f1
Tomato is the most thermophilic vegetable crop. Experienced gardeners prefer to grow tomatoes in greenhouses. Modern hybrids take root well in the climatic conditions and soils of Russia, regardless of the region. The perfectpil tomato f1 is a unique hybrid that was bred in Holland. The description indicates that the variety is suitable for growing in a greenhouse or outdoors at the same time. This type of tomato is quite popular in Italy. It is often used in the manufacture of ketchup, tomato paste and canning.
Description of the variety
Perfectpil f1 seeds can be bought in Russia. In any region of Russia, tomatoes are planted both outdoors and in greenhouses. The perfectpil tomato f1 comes from the family of Solanaceae annuals. The perfectpil variety is considered an early ripening hybrid and the first crop is harvested about 3 months after the seedlings emerge.
Bush
Tomatoes grow small, from 60 cm. The bushes are not tied up, but the trunk of the tomato is stable and does not break. The tomato has a well-developed root system. Due to the deep penetration of the root into the ground, which is about 2.5 meters, the bush stands firmly on the soil. Shoots do not take up much space. Leaves of medium size, bright green, carved. Fruit flowers grow on each branch.
Fetus
On the brush of a tomato perfectpil f1, 8-10 inflorescences can grow. The fruits are not large, each tomato weighs about 50 to 65 grams. The tomatoes are plum-shaped. Due to the dry matter content, the inside of the fruit is hard. Early fruits are light green, while ripe fruits are red. Ripe perfectpil f1 has a sweet and sour taste. Fruits with a dense skin, so they can hang on the bushes for a long time and not overripe on the branch. An interesting fact is that perfect saw tomatoes do not fall off, but are easily removed during harvesting.
Features of the variety
The description of the variety indicates that tomatoes have a high yield. From about one square meter, you can harvest up to 8 kg of ripe fruits. Tomatoes are even and smooth, making them very popular among gardeners. Farmers grow tomatoes on a large scale. A big plus is that this particular type of tomato can be picked not only by hand, but also by machines. The fruits remain intact after harvest.
Perfectpil tomato hybrids are used for ketchup, tomato paste and canning.
The main advantage of the tomato is its good immunity to various diseases, such as fungus, gray leaf spot and bacterial spot. This is a great find for farmers and gardeners. Therefore, perfectpil f1 tomatoes are very popular among other similar varieties. Depending on the region of Russia, tomatoes can be planted outdoors, either as seeds or as ready-made seedlings. During cargo transportation, the fruits retain their freshness and excellent appearance, thanks to the dense skin of the fruit.
Growing recommendations
Gardeners who grow the perfectpil variety for the first time should take into account the following nuances:
- Fruits die from a sharp temperature drop. It is worth waiting with planting until the temperature settles at around 10-15 degrees. At a temperature of 22-25 degrees, the growth of seedlings will accelerate significantly.
- Flowers freeze already at a temperature of 13-15 degrees. This leads to the death of the inflorescences. At a lower temperature, for example 10 degrees, the yield is significantly reduced, and the growth of the seedling slows down.
- High temperatures, more than 35 degrees, also adversely affect tomatoes, since the pollen does not crack, and the fruits that appear become pale in color. At high temperatures, yields are usually low.
- In perfectpil f1 hybrids, with a lack of light, all the power of the plant goes into growth, the foliage becomes small, and the inflorescences are laid at the very top.
Soil preparation
A fertile soil rich in humus and minerals is ideal for an excellent harvest. Experienced gardeners advise using compost or peat to grow the perfectpil f1 tomato. Also for growing tomatoes, you can purchase ready-made, special soil, which is sold in garden stores. Many gardeners grow seedlings in special peat cups.
Please note that in no case should fresh manure be used for tomatoes. Manure is characterized by the growth of grass and greenery. In this case, the perfect saw f1 hybrid tomato will not produce the desired yield.
The soil should be chosen porous and moist, but at the same time it should not be loose, with the lowest acidity. If you plant seedlings in solid soil, your plantings will not receive the optimal volume of air and water. A find for the gardener is vermiculite. Thanks to its properties, the land is not compacted and the seedlings receive all the necessary elements.
Growing seedlings
Tomatoes are grown by seedlings on a window or by seeds in the beds. Farmers prefer seedlings for faster greenhouse harvests. If you are going to grow seedlings right away in a greenhouse, then you should take care of the planting film cover. Even in the south of Russia, a cold snap may come at night. In this case, seeds that have not hatched may not sprout. The seed film should be removed when the sprouts appear on the surface, and night temperatures rise above 17-20 degrees.
Seedling containers are:
- With tap root removal - in wooden or plastic boxes.
- Without removing the taproot - paper or plastic cups, peat pots.
Growing stages
The seeds are sown to a depth of no more than 1 cm; they do not need to be soaked in advance. Before being sold, the seeds are treated with special means so that they do not die from various diseases in the open field. The container with the seeds is covered with plastic wrap and placed in a warm place. Over time, the air temperature is gradually reduced, otherwise the seedlings will grow. The cover is removed when the first shoots appear so that the seedlings develop. After 10-12 days, seedlings grown in boxes must be transplanted into separate containers. The procedure is carried out in the late afternoon, so that the seedlings recover overnight. It is necessary to transplant the seedlings as deep as possible into the soil and compact the soil a little.
When diving, the root of the plant is shortened to branch out.
For the best development of seedlings, a sufficient amount of light is needed. Artificial light is installed if necessary. If the seedlings are in a cup, then their leaves should not intertwine with each other. As the plants grow, the cups are rearranged so that the seedlings are not one-sided. Seedlings begin to harden before planting in a greenhouse or in open ground in a few weeks. By this time, after the appearance of 8-10 leaves, the seedlings should have a brush with inflorescences. With sufficient light, inflorescences can appear much earlier. If the temperature at night is approximately above 14 degrees, the plants can be planted in a greenhouse or in open ground under a film. Saplings are planted at a distance of no more than 60 cm from each other, in 2 rows at a distance of 90 cm.
Watering and feeding
After transplanting into open ground or a greenhouse, the seedlings are abundantly watered with water at room temperature. In cold water temperatures, the roots begin to rot. Before watering, the water needs to be defended for several days. Do not irrigate with unsettled water, as this can adversely affect the growth and development of the root system. Windows and doors in the greenhouse are opened in the morning, regardless of the weather. In humid air, the hybrid will not bear fruit. After 11 noon, the tomatoes are shaken to increase the number of ovaries.
Tomatoes can be fertilized while watering. Top dressing should be purchased complex, where there are all the necessary trace elements in the right amount. If the fertilizer is factory-made, then the fertilizing should be done according to the instructions. When the tomatoes start to bloom, you can fertilize them with potassium and phosphorus. Wood ash is also good for feeding. If there is fertile soil on your site, then you should not rush to feed, since nitrogen fertilizers have the property of landscaping, which can cause plants to wither.
Formation of tomatoes
From the moment the hybrid seedlings are planted, the formation of a bush begins. Plants tend to limit themselves in the growth of shoots after the appearance of peduncles. You don't need to clean up your stepsons. The lower leaves in front of the first flower brushes are pinched so that sap and minerals do not go down the plant, but give an opportunity for better growth and harvest. For minor damage to seedlings, stepchildren pinch at the beginning of growth, leaving a tubercle of about 1 cm. On stepchildren, a tomato forms from 1 to 3 brushes, but their growth should be stopped.
To do this, pinch the top of the shoot. Leaves near the fruit should be removed, for better plant growth, in order to increase the flow of air, light and nutrients. Pinch the stepsons in the morning, in sunny weather, so that the wound dries faster. After completion of the work, the treated areas are sprinkled with ash. In a hybrid perfectpil, not only the bush itself is formed, but also flower ovaries. This is done to ensure that the fruits are of the same size and of good quality. On the first inflorescences 5 ovaries are formed, on the rest more than 7. It is better to remove the barren flowers so that the plant does not lose nutrients.
Harvesting and storage
Ripe fruits are harvested in the morning in dry weather. After harvesting, the fruits are recommended to be laid out on a dry surface and allowed to dry. For long-term storage, tomatoes are best left in a well-ventilated place. If there is not a lot of crop stock, then some gardeners store tomatoes in the refrigerator, on the bottom shelf. Fruits with intact skin are best preserved. Tomatoes that are slightly damaged during the assembly process are preferably eaten fresh immediately after harvest or preserved. Ripe fruits tolerate shipping better and will go on sale with bright red fruits.
